Summary

We are searching for a collaborative and motivated technical expert to support our Testing & Analytical services as a Field Application Specialist (FAS). As a member of our team, you will work across CBM groups that include commercial representatives, technical teams, product and program management, and marketing professionals. The FAS is a critical, client-facing stakeholder who can lead deep technical discussions including product testing requirements and analytical development for drug product modalities with a focus on Cell and Gene Therapies. In addition to supporting client discussions, the FAS also acts as technical resource, provides training to the Commercial Team, and works to keep CBM informed about the activities of key clients.

Responsibilities

·Deliver product-specific consultations and support Business Development with research and discovery data

·Provide clear communication around client needs to internal proposals and technical teams

·Support client on-site meetings and facility tours as needed

·Prepare and present seminar content to wide array of technical audiences

·Represent the CBM’s Testing & Analytical capabilities at conferences, gather customer feedback, and stay informed on the evolution of analytical methods and technologies

·Work with internal teams to develop and update materials for customer training across multiple media types

Qualifications

·PhD and 2 years (or BS/MS and 3-4 years) of hands-on experience in immunotherapy or other cell & gene therapy field

·Strong knowledge of analytical methods and technologies used for vector and cell product characterization and release testing

·Strong understanding of customer challenges associated with transition to clinical workflow (scale-up, regulatory requirements, GMP manufacturing)

·Understanding of the analytical method validation process, ICH Q2(R1) guidelines

·Demonstrates situational awareness and proficient with public speaking/presenting to an audience

·Outstanding written and oral communication skills

·Self-motivated, enthusiastic, able to work both independently and on teams

·Travel with CBM professionals as needed (up to 50%)

·Based in Philadelphia, Boston, San Francisco, or surrounding areas
