Senior Vice President of Business Development-Testing and Analytics

We are looking for a proven leader, with a broad network in Testing & Analytics services, and an ability to think strategically as well as execute tactically. The SVP of Business Development for Testing & Analytics will be part of our Commercial team and the role requires a deep familiarity with current CBM service offerings with proven experience leading and directing a team of highly technical Business Development professionals to repeated success.This is a high profile position that requires cross-functional collaboration and the ability to innovate with efficiency. The ideal candidate must act with a sense of urgency to develop and execute detailed business plans, implement successful sales strategies, deliver industry leading growth, and play a critical role in the success of CBM.


·Responsible for providing leadership accurate forecasting in progress towards key performance metrics

·Rapidly build, train, and manage a new team of technical business development professionals who will operate successfully in a regulated environment

·Assess the regional opportunities, and adjust headcount and organizational structure to meet changing market and demand

·Skillfully coach professionals through complex selling scenarios

·Drive revenue growth and control expenses

·Work closely with cross functional teams to develop tactics and tools to overcome field challenges

·Develop and implement training programs for new hires as well as experienced representatives

·Maintain and uphold accountability to all compliance and expense reporting standards


·Minimum of BS or BA from accredited institution with major in biology, chemistry, or related fields. Advanced degree in the sciences preferred.

·8+ years sales experience in life science research tools and/or analytical instrumentation

·2+ sales leadership experience strongly preferred

·Ability to recruit, train, develop and retain a high-performing sales team

·Strong value selling skills and the ability to teach/empower those skills to both experienced and inexperienced representatives

·Must be a strong leader who can inspire and motivate a team

·Proven track record of leading a team to meet or exceed sales targets

·Large network of contacts within the lab business and pharma/biotech space.

·Be a strong communicator and team player who is accountable and trustworthy.

·Must reside in the United States

·Ability to travel 50+% of the time
