Summary
Center for Breakthrough Medicines is seeking an experienced supply chain professional to lead the Supply Chain organization. This role will have full accountability for end-to-end supply chain activities including: Strategic Sourcing and TCO, Demand/Supply/Materials Planning, Warehousing/Logistics, and Process Excellence. Strong partnership to the Business Units to enable successful delivery of client products.
You will be key in supporting our patient-centric mission, as you will be engaging and managing long-term partnerships on behalf of CBM and its stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the Supply Chain Functional leaders
- Represent the Supply Chain function at tier meetings and other senior-level meetings
- Ensure appropriate systems, processes, and people are in place to compliantly manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of all material and equipment for CBM (and on behalf of clients)
- Ensure robust processes are in place to source, evaluate and qualify new supplier-partners
- Aid in building a diverse and inclusive partner base of vendors and suppliers
- Drive a culture of process excellence to minimize waste, eliminate errors, and improve productivity
- Provide clarity and training to the broader organization on Supply Chain processes
- Own the Executive Supplier Review process for CBM leadership
- Institute a Supply Chain governance mechanism that provides visibility of KPIs to the necessary stakeholders, reduces risk, and ensures continuity of supply
- Delegate work assignments matching responsibility to the correct person and give authority to work independently. Set expectations and monitor delegated activities
- Support client onboarding activities
- Ensure all business activities are in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations meeting the highest quality standards and customer expectations in the industry
Qualifications
- At least 15 years of experience required. Master’s/MBA degree preferred.
- LEAN certification a plus
- Has led a team for at least 5 years
- Strong sense of patient-centricity / accountability to the patient
- History of supporting innovation, big or small / challenging the status quo
- ISM, APICS or other certifications preferred
- Excellent collaborative skills
- Outstanding negotiation and relationship building skills
- Evidence of negotiating large, complex contracts
- Cell and Gene Therapy preferred, but cGxP / Pharma required
- Strong understanding of supplier bases and current market conditions
